BDHS Announces Langlas & Associates Selected as General Contractor for BSMC

Bozeman Deaconess Health Services has selected Langlas and Associates as the General Contractor for pre-construction planning and construction of the Big Sky Medical Center to be built in Big Sky Town Center.

Langlas & Associates, Inc. is a second generation family-owned business established in 1973. The company has two fully staffed offices in Billings and Bozeman, and has performed work throughout Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, North Dakota, Iowa, and California. Its resume includes projects in education, medical, government, hospitality, professional office, retail, and custom residential construction. Langlas & Associates’ has extensive experience building healthcare facilities in Montana including work completed for Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and Highland Park Medical campus, Billings Clinic, St. Vincent Hospital, Livingston Hospital, Northern Rockies Surgery Center, Dialysis Clinic, and Alpine Orthopedics, as well as other construction projects in Big Sky.

The construction project team from Langlas and Associates will include Loren Cantrell as Senior Project Manager. Loren has 23 years of experience in the construction industry and will be leading the pre-construction and construction phase services. Daniel Dooley will act as Project Superintendent and has 24 years of experience in the construction industry, including several medical projects. The Langlas team will also be supported by Jason Fleege, Project Engineer.

Planning and design work with the Big Sky Medical Center project development team has been underway since October, and preconstruction planning has now begun. The facility is planned to be approximately 35,000 sq ft and will include emergency services, an outpatient procedure suite, and imaging, laboratory, clinic, pharmacy, therapy, and inpatient beds. The hospital will be constructed on a 7 ˝ acre site in Big Sky Town Center. A Ceremonial Groundbreaking was held on Sept 30, 2013, and construction is targeted to begin in late spring of 2014.
